A national cultural fashion event honouring the Riverina citrus workforce: growers, pickers, packers, juicers and families.

THE PREMISE

AGRICULTURE IS CULTURAL AUTHORSHIP

Citrus Threads honours the people who grow, pick, pack and juice the fruit of the Riverina, and the families who have done that work across generations.

Families interviewed for the oral history archive are the authors of the work. Designers, jewellers, painters and film makers respond to them, and the weekend is where that response is shown: a dinner, a runway after sunset in Memorial Park, and an exhibition that stays open through the week.

Edition 02 ran in Griffith across 17 and 23 October 2026, as part of Griffith Spring Fest.

THE ARCHIVE

Citrus Threads begins with the people who grow, pick, pack and juice the fruit and their families. Their interviews are the source the work is made from.
